No data collection through the website

The site does not collect contact details or create visitor lists. It has no registration, newsletter, purchases or contact forms and does not install advertising or profiling tools. Statistics store only daily totals and do not create visitor lists or profiles.

Aggregate visit statistics

The site counts page views and entries, grouped by day, page and referral category (for example Google or Facebook, when recognizable). The counter does not store IP addresses, names, visitor identifiers, full referring URLs, search terms or individual browsing paths. It adds no cookies and uses no browser storage. Totals are retained for a maximum of 400 days and can be viewed only by the site owner.

Counting requires JavaScript and respects the browser’s Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Entries do not represent distinct people: one person may enter several times and browsers may prevent counting.

Data, purposes and legal bases

To serve pages and protect them from abuse, the hosting service processes technical data such as IP addresses, requested pages, date and time, browser and device. The site counter does not store this technical data or use it to identify visitors. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in the availability and security of the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you choose to write to the published email address, the information you provide will be used to answer your enquiry, based on the legitimate interest in handling correspondence (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). This is not data collection through the website.

Providers and transfers

The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites. OpenAI Ireland Ltd acts as processor for hosted data, with its subprocessors. The infrastructure also uses Cloudflare for delivery and security. Correspondence is handled through the mail service for the published address.

Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. OpenAI’s DPA provides for standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions for transfers. You may ask the controller for information about these safeguards.

Retention

Technical data is retained as needed to provide the service, handle incidents and maintain security, according to the infrastructure’s deletion cycles. Duration depends on the type of log and technical requirements; there is no single retention period for all logs. Further retention is limited to legal obligations or the protection of rights.

Emails are retained to handle the enquiry and any follow-up; afterwards, only for actual record-keeping needs, legal obligations or the protection of rights. You may contact the controller for information or deletion requests.

Technical cookies

The technical security cookie __cf_bm was observed. It is set by the Cloudflare infrastructure to counter harmful automated traffic and expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. The website does not use it for advertising or commercial profiling.

Necessary technical cookies do not require prior consent. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some protections or functions may not work correctly. If non-technical tools are introduced, this notice and the consent mechanism will be updated before they are activated.

Links to social networks, videos and other websites open external services; social tracking tools are not embedded in these pages. Visiting those services is subject to their own privacy notices, over which Paolo Clini has no control.

You may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of your data and, where applicable, portability; you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to p.clini@univpm.it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority.

Provision of data

Necessary technical data is processed while browsing; without it, the website cannot be delivered. Sending email is optional; without contact details or necessary information, it may not be possible to reply.
